During the visit of the Uzbekistan delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Kuchkarov to Japan, a meeting was held with the Mayor of Nagoya Takashi Kawamura. Parliament members also attended it.

The parties discussed issues of further developing bilateral interregional relations. 

In connection with the fifth anniversary of the establishment of cooperation between the cities of Tashkent and Nagoya, an agreement was reached to hold several joint events next year.
