Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva has met with the Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko.

The parties discussed the prospects for inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Tanzila Narbayeva noted the high quality of cooperation, including in the economy and the migration sphere. According to her, it is necessary to closely support bilateral projects by joint efforts of the parliamentarians of the two countries.

“We are interested in bringing our interaction to a higher level, filling it with new, joint projects”, Valentina Matviyenko said. – There are also significant reserves in the development of parliamentary ties. We will continue an effective partnership in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
