Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva held an online meeting with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Li Zhanshu.

The parties focused on the issues of strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, strengthening the interaction of parliaments in the implementation of agreements at the highest level.

Issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation within the framework of Uzbekistan's chairmanship in the SCO this year were also considered.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to intensify contacts between the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China.
