New York hosts the 68th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

It is attended by the Uzbekistan delegation led by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Chairperson of the Republican Commission on Improving the Role of Women in Society, Gender Equality and Family Issues Tanzila Narbayeva.

During the two-week event, UN and civil society representatives will discuss the implementation of the Beijing Declaration.

The session focuses on eradicating poverty, achieving gender equality, and empowering all women by strengthening institutional capacity and financing.

During the visit, bilateral meetings will be held with heads of UN structures, presidents of several countries, heads of government, and ministers.
