15:22 / 2022-03-14

The Talipoch Qal`a Darvozasi fortress in Bukhara, built in the 16th century, is an object of cultural heritage.

The recently collapsed part of it was restored in 2003.

Over the years, some problems have been identified within the walls of the cultural site. The part of the fortress wall collapsed because of prolonged heavy rains observed in March this year.

“A study was carried out with the participation of members of the Public Scientific and Advisory Council, consisting of officials and special experts of Bukhara regional administration, departments of cultural heritage and emergencies of Bukhara regional restoration center”, says Sherzod Mahmudov, head of the Cultural Heritage Department of Bukhara region.

The cultural monument is included in the address list of real estate objects of tangible cultural heritage, where work is planned to be carried out to preserve them.

Officials and specialists have taken measures to protect this object, provide residents of the area and tourists visiting this object.

The Regional Hokimiyat and experts studied the technical condition of the facility, and work began on the speedy restoration of the damaged part of the wall.
