Karakalpakstan’s Takhiatash city hosted the opening ceremony of the Medical Diagnostic Center and the Sewing Workshop of JSC Takhiatash TPP.

The projects worth 19.8 billion UZS are launched to create a medical services system that is convenient and modern for the population of Takhiatash district, ensure employment.

The Medical Diagnostic Center and its medical personnel with sufficient experience offer the population modern MRI, electrocardiogram, video endoscopy, ultrasound diagnostics, dentistry and other medical services.

“The medical center, established under our station, plans to provide qualified medical services not only to employees, but also to the population of Takhiatash district and adjacent areas”, the Director General of JSC Takhiatash TPP F.Khalilayev said.

The medical center will also research the medical sphere, organize medical practices and high-tech procedures with the involvement of foreign specialists, and organize special courses to improve the skills of medical professionals in the region.

The Sewing Workshop is established to employ women, teach the secrets of entrepreneurship to women living in remote areas, and thus ensuring the wellbeing of families.

The workshop will mainly focus on producing special clothing for manufacturing enterprises and organizations.

According to the JSC Thermal Power Plants, 65 people will be employed by launching both projects.

The residents of Takhiatash district welcomed the launch of these social facilities.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Murat Kamalov, Chairman of the Council of Ministers Kakhraman Sariyev, Chairman of JSC Thermal Power Plants Farkhod Abdurakhmanov, as well as representatives of the Asian Development Bank, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Takhiatash District Hokimiyat and other distinguished guests.
