A delegation of experts from the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan visited the Center for State Environmental Expertise under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the Center for State Environmental Expertise demonstrated the practice of using digital technologies in the environmental impact assessment process. Issues of improving legislation in ecological protection and integrating international experience into national legislation were also discussed.

At the same time, the experience of introducing foreign practices and innovative approaches to environmental processes was studied. Uzbekistan’s experience in increasing public participation in ecological processes and considering its opinion was presented.

The development of an environmental monitoring system, support for ecotourism, and improvement of its infrastructure were analyzed. A presentation on the expansion of cooperation and technologies used in the implementation of joint projects was demonstrated.

Agreements were reached on further exchange of experience and increasing cooperation in the environmental field.
