A delegation led by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Tajikistan Bakhtiyor Khudoyorzoda visited the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan to monitor the electoral process.

At the meeting, CEC Chairman Zayniddin Nizamkhodjayev noted the changes made to the Election Code and essential reforms in Uzbekistan’s political life. He stressed that the elections of deputies of the lower house are held based on majority and proportional systems.

The observers recognized it as a great achievement that such an important political event was organized based on democratic principles, fully complies with international norms and standards, and Uzbekistan citizens understand the importance of elections and vote freely.
