The Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavqi Zavqizoda in Dushanbe.

According to the Khovar News Agency, the negotiations took place in preparation for the next Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation meeting, which is planned to be co-chaired by the prime ministers of the two countries in Dushanbe.

“At the same time, an exchange of views took place on enhancing trade and economic cooperation and the implementation of priority investment projects, including the joint production of cars in the Republic of Tajikistan and the establishment of tire production based on TALCO OJSC for the needs of the automotive industry of Uzbekistan, as well as the joint construction of two hydroelectric power stations on the Zeravshan River”, the Agency writes.
