A delegation led by Syrdarya region’s Hokim, Erkinjon Turdimov, is on a working visit to Tokyo.
On the first day of the visit, negotiations were held with the heads of major Japanese companies – Momiki, Farmdo Group, and Altai Trading. On the second day, negotiations were held with companies Phytopharma, New Silk Way Inc., Aomori Nousan, Sozo Kobo, Washin Trading, and Onodera User Run.
During the meetings, promising areas of cooperation in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and the service sector were discussed in detail. The parties focused on implementing mutually beneficial projects and exchanging technologies and experience.

Prospects for cooperation in developing the agro-economic potential, solar energy, agricultural exports, and pharmaceuticals were discussed during the negotiations. The transformation of fruits, vegetables, and legumes grown in the Syrdarya region into high-value products, the introduction of advanced processing technologies, the attraction of investments in the development of solar energy through Solar Farm projects using Japanese experience, and the expansion of export potential became central topics.

Following the negotiations, specific directions were identified for the launch of joint projects and the development of strategic cooperation.

As is known, the Central Asia + Japan Business Forum took place in Tokyo, December 2025, during which 158 memorandums of cooperation were signed and supported at the state level. In addition, Uzbekistan is implementing large-scale agreements with state-owned banks and Japanese companies in the field of agriculture and energy.

The visit of Syrdarya region’s delegation to Japan was a significant step not only in increasing export potential but also in elevating Uzbek-Japanese investment relations to a new level.
