Specialists in the textile industry from Switzerland are getting acquainted with the development of sericulture in Uzbekistan.

The guests visited the Ismoiljon Gilamlari carpet enterprise in Margilan city, Fergana region, and got acquainted with the production process of finished products.

The enterprise is one of the largest. More than 1,000 women are provided with work here. Over 15 types of modern export-oriented carpets are produced. In addition to selling these products on domestic markets, they are exported to Central Asian countries.

The guests became closely acquainted with the conditions of the enterprise, the quality of products, and their design and observed the production process.

The foreign specialists were accompanied by the Advisor to the Chairman of the Uzbekipaksanoat Association, Ms. Yokut Schmid, who informed them about the history of Uzbek sericulture and the features of silk products.
