Uzbekistan delegation led by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodik Safoyev has met with members of the Swedish Parliament, in Stockholm.

Mr. Safoyev, at a meeting with the participation of the First Deputy Speaker of the Riksdag Kenneth Gustaf Forslund and the Deputy Speaker of the Riksdag Kerstin Margareta Lundgren, as well as members of the committees on foreign affairs, constitutional issues and cooperation with the OSCE, informed everyone with the constitutional reforms of Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Sweden. The Swedish side stated that it supports the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, including changes in foreign policy.
