The famous Homo Faber Guide presents the “Uzbek Chapter”: 11 masters representing the country's traditional arts and crafts among the world’s outstanding artisans.
Madina Kasimbaeva is a suzani master. She began to learn embroidery at a young age and devoted herself to this ancient art, studying traditional patterns and techniques specific to a particular region.

In 2006, she opened the workshop “Suzani by Kasimbaeva” and, in less than two decades, has established herself as the creator of unique works that are in demand both by style icons and leading museums of the world. Madina Kasimbaeva collaborates with local brands and sells works to foreign collectors, creating outfits for celebrities.
Today Kasimbaeva embroiders clothes and accessories, uniting tradition and innovation. She is always looking for ways to make the process more efficient without sacrificing the basic principles of hand sewing and using only natural dyes.

According to the Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, you can learn more about the works of Madina Kasimbaeva in the Homo Faber Guide.
