The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, will pay a state visit to this country on January 23-25.

In accordance with the program of the stay in Beijing, high-level talks and several bilateral meetings will take place.

Currently, members of the delegation led by the Hokim of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Kasimov are in the People’s Republic of China. On the first day of the visit, the regional delegation met with the heads and representatives of 9 companies.

During the talks, agreements were reached on establishing cooperation in the extraction and processing of underground resources, construction, healthcare, and alternative energy, on carrying out repairs on the “M-41” international highway and the Amuzang-1, Amuzang-2 canals, implementing projects for reconstruction and construction of infrastructure facilities.

Agreements and memorandums were signed to create the Urumqi – Termez Trading House, a logistics center, develop new lands, grow cotton seed, and process metal.
