These days, a group of zoologists who arrived in Surkhan State Reserve from the Republic of Belarus to study the world of insects, ethno fauna and discover new species, is conducting scientific work in “Sholkon” department of the reserve.

The expedition was organized as part of a memorandum signed on December 26, 2022, by Termez State University and Belarusian State University together with the Ministry of Natural Resources.

“The nature of your region is unique”, says Fedor Sautkin, Associate Professor of the Department of Zoology of the Faculty of Biology of the Belarusian State University. – We were fascinated by the beauty of the majestic mountains. Uzbekistan pays great attention to the issues of nature protection. The nature of Surkhan State Reserve, the biodiversity available here has further increased our interest in this land.
