Canada hosts the International Organization for Judicial Training (IOJT) conference. Representatives of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan are also taking part in the event.

Information was provided on the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in the judicial and legal sphere, in particular, on new procedures for the selection, training and appointment of a judge.

According to the Supreme Judicial Council, after the presentation, Uzbekistan was offered membership in this international organization.

After the adoption of this proposal, the Supreme Judicial Council of Uzbekistan was accepted as a member of this international organization. For the first time in history, representatives of Uzbekistan participated in the voting process on the agenda of the assembly of the organization as full members.
