President of the Mittelstand Association Markus Jerger, who took part in the Business Forum in Berlin, touched upon the current state of economic cooperation between the two countries.

– I believe that the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is especially important for the German economy, small and medium-sized businesses.

Uzbekistan is undergoing reforms worthy of exploring the prospects for business. In this regard, we plan to visit Uzbekistan with entrepreneurs soon.

In principle, we are interested in cooperating with your country in all areas. German companies need new markets for raw materials, especially in creating small and medium-sized businesses in new territories and establishing trade in their products.

Our Association intends to visit Uzbekistan with delegations of several companies, where many industries are actively developing, including cotton growing, the textile industry, and the processing of artificial raw materials.

I think that the current policy pursued by the President will serve as an important means for opening up the Uzbekistan market, especially for European or German companies to enter your country. Therefore, the reform program is important for your country. And we are supporters of the opening of the market between German and Uzbekistan companies and active cooperation between the two countries' businesspeople.
