Successful implementation of the State Program as an opportunity to increase investment
14:37 / 2025-01-20

Ümit Aksu, an entrepreneur from Türkiye:

– We are aware that the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy sets ambitious goals. That is why we confidently started our activities in Uzbekistan, particularly in the healthcare sector. We have observed that this field receives significant attention in the Strategy and remains a priority for the Head of state.

We are familiar with the initiatives the President of Uzbekistan put forward in the draft State Program for implementing the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy in the Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy.

For example, promoting daily walking and running among the population, reducing plastic product usage, providing medical and educational institutions with essential sanitary and hygiene products, and improving hygienic facilities all deserve high praise. These initiatives are significant to us, as our business focuses on providing sanitary and hygiene products and producing natural medicines.

We especially appreciate that significant initiatives are presented for public discussion before being formally adopted as mandatory policies. This is a positive and democratic practice. It was particularly gratifying that we had the opportunity to participate in these processes.

Considering logistical factors, we aim to obtain the status of a Green Entrepreneur, as outlined in the draft state program for 2025. This will allow us to take advantage of the available export support opportunities.

So far, we have invested approximately $400,000 in Uzbekistan. We hope the 2025 state program will be successfully implemented, enabling us to expand our investment volumes. We are committed to contributing to the goals of the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy. For this reason, we plan to invest $2 million in the healthcare sector over the next five years.
