A training seminar for judges of administrative courts was held at the Research centre for the study of justice under the Supreme judicial Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan.The event was attended by the heads of ministries and departments, judges of administrative courts, a group of international experts, representatives of civil society institutions and the mass media.
Director of the research centre for the study of justice under the Supreme judicial Council D.Oripov noted that targeted mechanisms of judicial power have been introduced in our country, which provides reliable protection of human rights and freedoms. A gradual democratization of the judicial and legal sphere is carried out under the leadership of the President of our country Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Decrees of the President of our country “On measures of further reforming the judicial and legal system, strengthening guarantees of reliable protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens” of October 21, 2016 and “On measures of radically improving the structure and increasing the efficiency of the judicial system of the Republic of Uzbekistan” of February 21, 2017 have become a new stage in the sphere of reforms.
A unified body of the judicial power – the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been established in accordance with the decrees in the spheres of criminal, administrative, economic legal proceedings. Today, this institute, acting on the basis of international and national experience, considers complaints about actions that violate the rights and freedoms of individuals and legal entities, the prosecutor’s statements about the illegality of the legal document, statements of the authorized bodies on the interests of individuals and legal entities, false document allegations of the state bodies and civil society institutions.
The training seminar promotes the formation of judges’ skills in consideration of administrative conflicts and offenses in mass legal relations and practical application of normative-legal acts.
Representatives of Japan and the Republic of Korea made presentations on legal control in administrative law, legislative process, administrative record keeping, world experience in the activities of administrative courts, and specifics of the courts.
