Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health and the Gulf Medical University of the UAE have developed a 4-year joint master’s educational program in Doctor of Medicine (therapy).
According to the Cooperation Agreement signed by the rectors of two higher education institutions, the parties agreed to widely introduce advanced pedagogical technologies, educational programs, and teaching materials based on international academic standards into the educational process, conduct joint masterclasses with the participation of professors, teachers, and students, actively attract highly qualified university teachers and scientists to advanced training courses.
According to the admission quota approved by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, the Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health plans to train 100 foreign citizens with a bachelor’s degree based on the master’s program in the specialty Doctor of Medicine. In the 1st-2nd courses, master’s training will be carried out based on the educational technologies Problem-Based Learning, and in the 3rd-4th courses – Workplace-Based Learning.
