The Association of Business Women of Uzbekistan “Tadbirkor Ayol” was established on June 21, 1991, to develop women’s entrepreneurship in the country. To date, the association has grown into a broad movement uniting 17,000 women entrepreneurs. More than 200 qualified trainers work voluntarily throughout the country.

This was discussed during a roundtable discussion on “Prospects for further development of women’s entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan” at the Association of Business Women of Uzbekistan “Tadbirkor Ayol”.

More than 100 projects have been implemented in rural and urban areas of the country aimed at developing women’s entrepreneurship, achieving gender equality, creating new jobs, increasing the potential of women in the economy, and making full use of human capital.

To achieve its goals and objectives, the Association closely cooperates with several international organizations such as the OSCE, UN, UNDP, USAID, EBRD, and IsDB.

According to the Chairman of the Association of Business Women of Uzbekistan “Tadbirkor Ayol”, G. Makhmudova, consistent cooperation with these organizations allows for solving issues related to the employment of women, their entrepreneurship training, female migration, gender equality and economic integration, globalization of trade and creation of new jobs.

At the event, it was noted that the Association is becoming recognized in the country and abroad as a strong community supporting women living both in remote villages and in big cities.

At the meeting, with the participation of representatives of sponsoring organizations and partners, urgent tasks were discussed to create conditions for expanding and protecting the economic and social rights of women, supporting their entrepreneurial and social initiatives.
