During the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the United States of America, a meeting took place with the head of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, John Jovanovic.
The head of the American bank noted that the discussion with the President of Uzbekistan focused on key areas of the country’s economic modernization and on expanding cooperation with American companies.
The dialogue emphasized Uzbekistan’s interest in leveraging U.S. technologies and fostering partnerships with American businesses to build a stronger, more resilient, and more prosperous future.
Special attention was given during the meeting to strengthening bilateral economic ties and exploring opportunities for collaboration in advanced technologies, industry, and investment.
It was highlighted that a three-year framework agreement was signed between the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Export-Import Bank of the United States. This agreement aims to deepen cooperation in the technological sphere and support joint projects aligned with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s strategic vision.
The Export-Import Bank of the United States views Uzbekistan as a key partner in the region, with significant potential for growth and for contributing to financial, economic, and energy stability in Central Asia. The bank underscored Uzbekistan’s advantageous position for regional development and noted the interconnectedness of prosperity and security.
In conclusion, it was announced that a delegation from the Export-Import Bank of the United States plans to visit Tashkent soon to participate in the upcoming Investment Forum and to develop a detailed cooperation roadmap with Uzbekistan.
