Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, arrived in Islamabad on a state visit.

In Pakistan’s airspace, the aircraft of the distinguished guest was escorted by fighter jets of the country’s Air Force.

At Nur Khan airport, the Head of State was welcomed by Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister, and other officials.

The national flags of the two countries were raised and a guard of honor was lined up.

In accordance with the program, talks are scheduled today with Chief of the Army Staff of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and with Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, as well as the first meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.

Tomorrow, February 6, a meeting with Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan, and participation in the Uzbekistan – Pakistan Business Forum are planned.
