Starting in 2025, international exhibitions will be held at Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan
16:50 / 2024-08-21

The Iteca Exhibitions is the main organizer of international exhibitions in Uzbekistan. Recently, domestic and foreign manufacturers have shown great interest in these events.

Therefore, starting in 2025, the company plans to organize events not only at the Uzexpocentre but also at the new modern center Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan.

Iteca Exhibitions Manager Nodira Khaitboyeva told UzA correspondent about this:

– The main reason for this is the excellent opportunities created for manufacturers in our country: businesspeople are trying to export their products and are looking for international partners.

The exhibitions organized in the capital are a significant platform for establishing cooperation with foreign manufacturers from many countries. This kind of acquaintance also creates favorable opportunities for foreign guests.

This poses the task of expanding exhibition space because Uzexpocentre lacks venues. The Centre Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan in Tashkent is designed to fill the gap.

It should be noted that Iteca Exhibitions operates under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), the Europe-Uzbekistan Association for Economic Cooperation (EUROUZ), and the representative office of the American Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan.

The company, which held the first B2B exhibition in 1995, set itself the goal of developing the exhibition industry in Uzbekistan. With 29 years of experience, Iteca Exhibitions’ portfolio includes 20 international exhibitions and 4 congresses, which annually gather more than 4,000 exhibits, 3,500 delegates from 57 countries, and more than 105,000 visitors.

Uzbekistan’s economic growth in recent years has contributed to an increase in the number of participants in international exhibitions. As noted, the company faced a shortage of exhibition space to accommodate large projects. This led to a change in the exhibition calendar. For example, the UzFood, AgroWorld Uzbekistan, MebelExpo Uzbekistan, AquaTherm Tashkent, and TextileExpo Uzbekistan were held as separate events on different dates, which affected the overall work schedule of Uzexpocentre. Still, these measures only temporarily solved the problem of lack of space. At the same time, the demand for exhibition space from other organizers has been continuously increasing.

The construction of the Central Asian Expo Uzbekistan International Exhibition Center has opened up new opportunities for holding large-scale exhibitions. Starting in 2025, the new location will regularly host international exhibitions UzBuild, BuildTech, TIHE, “Uzbekistan Energy Week: OGU – Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan”, Power Uzbekistan, and CAITME.

These days, the company and partners are preparing to participate in the Central Asian International Exhibition CAITME 2024, which will be held in September this year at the Uzexpocentre, – Ms. Nodira Khaitboyeva said.
