At Uzbekistan – Italy Business Forum, held in Rome on June 6 this year, Uzbekistan Industrial and Construction Bank – SQB and Banca Popolare di Sondrio signed a Cooperation Agreement in trade and investment for 50 million euros.

The agreement provides that the funds of the Banca Popolare di Sondrio loan will be used to finance trade operations of business entities, as well as their investment projects involving the import of technological equipment from Italy and other European countries.

It should be noted that with the growing interest of Italian business representatives in Uzbekistan, the cooperation of SQB with Banca Popolare di Sondrio, along with such Italian financial institutions as Unicredit S.p.A, Intesa Sanpaolo, and Sace Export Credit Agency, will create additional opportunities for financial support of joint business projects of the two countries.
