Uzbekistan – Hungary Business Forum was held on the eve of the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Hungary, on October 3 this year.

Relevant ministries, leading companies, as well as banks of the two countries took part in the event to establish cooperation, consider further plans to increase the investment component and implement mutually beneficial projects.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between SQB (Uzbekistan Industrial and Construction Bank) and Hungarian Export-Import Bank, in the light of which the parties expressed their commitment to intensify cooperation and conduct joint coordination on financing trade and investment projects with the participation of Hungarian exporters.

Meetings were held with Raiffeisen Bank Hungary representatives.

An agreement was reached on establishing partnerships in terms of studying the best practices of Raiffeisen Bank in matters of interaction with medium and large corporate clients, with the introduction of innovative developments of a foreign bank that has a strong position in green banking.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between SQB and Raiffeisen Bank to enhance the horizons of cooperation in trade finance, the high-quality implementation of international and domestic financial transactions and consolidate the aspirations to optimize financial decisions.
