On June 6, 2024, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Türkiye at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

On the eve of the visit, Uzbekistan – Türkiye Business Forum took place in the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov and Vice President of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz.

As part of the event, Uzsanoatqurilishbank and Aktif Yatirim Bankasi A.S., signed a Cooperation Agreement to raise funds totaling $40 million.

The funds will be used to finance trade and support small and medium-sized business representatives.

According to SQB, an agreement was also reached on the opening of a correspondent settlement account by SQB in Aktif Yatirim Bankasi A.S. to create conditions and facilities for mutual settlements between Uzbekistan and Türkiye business partners.
