In the competition “Father, mother and I are a sporty family” conducted in the city of Andijon under the slogan of “Healthy family” and devoted to the 25th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, 17 families participated.

In the competition “Father, mother and I are a sporty family” conducted in the city of Andijon under the slogan of “Healthy family” and devoted to the 25th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, 17 families participated.

The event was arranged by the regional department of the Mahalla public charity foundation and a number of other organizations, as part of the implementation of the Year of Maternal and Child Health state programme.

It was said at the event that special attention was being paid under the leadership of the country’s President to the development of sports, particularly children’s sports, to promoting a healthy lifestyle in society and encouraging sporty families.

The family of Abdughaffor Turghunov from the Oqqurghon neighbourhood of Baliqchi District won in the competition. The family of Dilshodbek Qodirov from the Pakhtachi neighbourhood of the town of Qorasuv achieved second place, and the family of Turarbek Sattorov from the Shahrikhonsoy neighbourhood of Khojaobod District took third place.

The winners and runners-up were awarded diplomas and memorable gifts.
