Special Republican Commission’s meeting has been held for preparation of a Program of measures to prevent the spread of a new type of coronavirus in Uzbekistan.
The Commission adopted a resolution on timely identification of patients or persons with suspected diseases in the country and prevention of the spread of disease, as well as on other issues considered at the meeting.
The resolution sets restrictions and takes appropriate measures.
From 00:01 starting March 23, all border checkpoints located on the territory of Uzbekistan will be closed (except for foreign citizens leaving the country).
Starting March 23, all enterprises and institutions in Tashkent, regardless their form of ownership with preservation of their main activities, must organize employees' vacation in accordance with the procedure established by law. The remaining maximum possible part will work distantly (online or distantly).
Employees must wear individual protection means at their workplaces. Disciplinary measures will be taken against those who violate the quarantine in accordance with the procedure stipulated in the legislation.
Starting March 23, people who are seen in public places without individual protective means (masks) in Tashkent, Karakalpakstan and regional centers will be warned. Starting March 25, from 6 am, the penalty procedure comes into force – for absence of a mask in a public place, a person will be fined in the amount of basic calculated value, if repeated violations, the fine will reach three basic calculated values.
Drastic measures will be taken against entrepreneurs who artificially organize a shortage of medical protective means, in particular masks.
To protect the health of citizens of Uzbekistan, people at the age of over 65 and with chronic diseases are recommended not to leave the house without the need, to wear individual protective means (masks) while going out.
In order to prevent the disease, measures will be taken to maintain a distance among population at retail outlets in all trade centers and markets.
