Ismatulla Irgashev, Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, has met with a delegation of France led by Guillaume Ollagnier, Head of the Department for Europe, North America and Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry for the Armed Forces.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed the current situation in Afghanistan, as well as the efforts of Uzbekistan and France to resolve the Afghan crisis.

Guillaume Ollagnier highly appreciated the efforts of Uzbekistan to develop a consolidated regional position in Afghanistan, as well as the implementation of infrastructure projects in the field of energy and transport in the country.

The French side expressed concern about the humanitarian situation and the current difficult socio-economic situation in the country.

The parties agreed that the formation of a government in Afghanistan based on broad representation, as well as ensuring the rights of women and national minorities, play a key role in ensuring stability in this country.
