The Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev took part in a briefing on the current Afghan situation, in Brussels.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, Ismatulla Irgashev highlighted the main aspects of the policy pursued by Uzbekistan in relation to Afghanistan, the new authorities of the country, as well as the need for establishing a constructive dialogue with them.

The key emphasis was placed on the prompt provision of humanitarian aid to the country, more active involvement of Afghanistan in the process of regional connectivity and integration.

All forum participants expressed their sincere gratitude to Uzbekistan for its assistance in the evacuation of EU citizens from Afghanistan, as well as efforts to peacefully resolve the Afghan crisis.
