Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev has met with the Ambassador of Pakistan Syed Ali Asad Gilani.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, views were exchanged on the current situation in Afghanistan and the efforts of the international community, as well as the two countries to enhance collaboration in the Afghan direction, in particular, to launch a peace negotiation process in this country.

The Ambassador of Pakistan emphasized the significant role of Uzbekistan in establishing long-term and sustainable peace in Afghanistan, as well as involving the country in the regional integration process.
