Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, together with the Space Research and Technology Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Uzaerospace company, hosted a roundtable discussion on “Space: from infinity to business”.
The event was attended by foreign experts Anastasia Stepanova and Vitaliy Egorov, representatives of relevant agencies, students, professors and teachers.
Anastasia Stepanova is a member of the international space projects Mars-160 and Sirius-19, the first female volunteer in the Dry Immersion experiment, an engineer at the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Vitaliy Egorov is a Russian cosmonautics popularizer, blogger, science writer, founder of the Open Space Group, laureate of the Fidelity to Science Award-2019, one of the founders of the private company Orbital Express.
Presentations were made on the space sector, the activities of experts, the opportunities created in the sphere for representatives of the private sector. The Uzbek side informed about the “Discovery Day Uzbekistan” conference held in Tashkent jointly with Maxar Technologies, Esri and SpaceX companies.
