Uzbekistan diplomats met with the leadership of the South Korean companies EGIS and New Layer, in Seoul.
The parties discussed the results of the visit of the South Korean delegation to Uzbekistan to start the practical implementation of the project to digitize the Samanids Mausoleum in Bukhara region with the participation of New Layer, J-Tod and the LX state corporation using 3D technologies and geographic data.
The project is funded by a grant from the government of the Republic of Korea for $150,000. Work is underway with the unitary enterprise Silk Road Office under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Uzbekistan and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency of South Korea.
The main goal of the project is to organize the conservation and management of historical monuments under modern requirements, as well as create opportunities for local and foreign tourists to travel virtually through the territory of the complex.
