Representatives of state and public organizations, participants of the Second World War, military personnel, youth and general public attended the event.

The square is beautifully decorated. Memorial complex, built for 1 billion 23 million UZS, includes a terrace on which the names of those who were killed during the war are carved. An eternal flame – a symbol of heroes’ memory burns near the monument to Sorrowful Mother. The terrace is also equipped with columns made by Kokand masters.

Theatrical performances organized within the framework of the event, which reflected the events of war, performances of famous artists, dastans performed by bakhshi made a deep impression on participants.

At the event, five participants of the Second World War living in the district were awarded with cash prizes in the amount of 7,5 million UZS and valuable gifts.

Kashkadarya region’s khokim Z.Ruziyev delivered a speech at the event.
