The Qoraqalpoqhiston phase of the talent contest “You are the one, the sacred Motherland!” has taken place at the Qoraqalpogh Berdaq state musical theatre.

The Qoraqalpoqhiston phase of the talent contest “You are the one, the sacred Motherland!” has taken place at the Qoraqalpogh Berdaq state musical theatre.

It was noted at the event conducted under the slogan “My life, my destiny – my native unique Uzbekistan” that as part of the implementation of the presidential decree dated 7 April 2009 on conducting the republican talent contest “You are the one, the sacred Motherland!”, special attention was being paid to bringing out the talent and potential of the younger generation.

This has also found expression in songs by young composers and performing arts figures lauding their Motherland, Uzbek national values and the country’s rich spiritual heritage as well as a great deal of creative work being carried out in the years of independence.

“In the initial stages of the contest that serves to bring up young people in the spirit of love for the Motherland and loyalty to ideas of sovereignty and to strengthen their feeling of involvement in the Motherland’s destiny about 330 young talents participated,” says a leading specialist of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Qoraqalpoghiston, Aysenem Nurumbetova.

In evaluating the performing mastery of the participants, close attention was paid to harmony between melody and lyrics and scenic culture.

Employees of the culture and sports department of the city of Nukus, Turdimurat Turdimuratov, Ungar Zhulliboyev and Zinatdin Nuratdinov, won a victory with their song entitled “Free Uzbekistan”, and they will be taking part in the republican stage of the contest.
