The National Social Protection Agency and the United Nations Development Programme held a roundtable discussion on “Effective interdepartmental cooperation: the main condition for the protection of domestic violence victims”.
The participants discussed the work carried out in the social protection of victims of domestic violence, adopted regulations, as well as issues of establishing interdepartmental cooperation in protecting victims of domestic violence.
At the event, a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to establish a system for providing social services to women who have suffered from oppression and violence, and their minor children” was discussed.

At the roundtable discussion, UNDP representatives emphasized its importance, focusing on the main aspects of implementing legislation to increase women’s access to justice. The United Nations Population Fund provided information on standard procedures for providing services to victims of domestic violence, coordinated services for persons with disabilities, and a program for working with abusers.

The proposals and recommendations made by the participants in the roundtable discussion on the draft administrative regulations will further improve the social protection system.
