Skullcap embroiderer
Mohira Mamutova from “Mingterak” mahalla of Yangi Namangan district is a skilled embroiderer of skullcaps. She has been engaged in this profession for 20 years. The craftswoman trained 30 students and employed 32 women with home-based work.
For a month, she embroiders about 200 skullcaps, while the cost of one skullcap ranges from 200 thousand to 1 million UZS.
– I am not limited to embroidery of skullcaps. I am also engaged in manufacturing quilts, – she says. – The craft will always support a person. Thanks to my work, I benefit my family”.
