At the Asian Championships in the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan’s track and field athletes won two silver medals.

In singles, Sitora Khamidova won a silver medal with a 1 hour 13 minutes 29 seconds result. An athlete from Japan was awarded the gold medal, and Kyrgyzstan’s athlete was awarded a bronze medal. S. Khamidova updated the record of Uzbekistan, which she set five years ago.

Members of the Uzbekistan team, Marina Khmelevskaya and Aziza Mirakbarova, finished eighth and seventeenth, respectively. In the team event, the athletes received a silver medal at the Asian Championships. In first place is the team of Kyrgyzstan, and in third place are representatives of India.
