Yekaterinburg hosted a presentation of Uzbekistan's tourism potential, organized by the Consulate General of the country and Russia’s Samarkand Tour Company.

The event was organized to promote the Silk Road Samarkand International Tourist Center and the Eternal City complex to attract Russian tourists.

The meeting was attended by heads and managers of the largest companies in the tourism sector of Sverdlovsk region and the head of Russia’s Red Wing air company in Yekaterinburg.

Consul General Abdusalom Khatamov informed participants about the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector.

The participants noted that today Uzbekistan has become one of the most desirable destinations for Russian tourists, and the infrastructure created in the country in recent years serves as the main factor in attracting foreign tourists.
