15:37 / 2023-04-05

The International Tourist Center “Silk Road Samarkand”, built on an area of 260 hectares around the rowing canal in Samarkand district of Samarkand region, is a unique example of national and modern architecture.

The complex includes several zones. To the north of the rowing canal are the Congress Center, eight upscale hotels, an eco-village, the Eternal City historical and ethnographic complex, and trading floors.

According to the General Manager of the Wellness Park complex, Thomas Knoll, the hotels located in this area are also impressive because they are focused not only on recreation, but also on recovery.

There are four hotels in the Wellness Park complex. Each of them has wellness centers. Thanks to the effective operation of the complex, the flow of foreign tourists has now increased by 60 percent. The eco-structure of the complex is also unique. More than 30 thousand trees have been planted around the territory, which makes the air cleaner.

Another building in this territory is the Congress Center. It is built in an oriental style with large panoramic windows. The high-tech hall, equipped with modern equipment and technology, is designed for holding congresses, conferences, symposiums, exhibitions and presentations.

“The total area of the Grand Hall is 3,709 square meters. It has five halls with 3,000 seats. Each of them has two screens, through which participants can get acquainted with the process of preparing and holding events”, Deputy Director of the Congress Center Akmal Nazirov said.
