On October 27 this year, the Central Election Commission will begin electing deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and regional, district, and city Councils of People’s Deputies.
Based on this, a meeting of the political council of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) was held, during which a decision was made on the party’s participation in the elections. The relevant documents were submitted to the Central Election Commission.
The Central Election Commission registered authorized representatives of political parties and issued mandates in electronic form through the E-saylov information system. The authorized representative of UzLiDeP was also given signature sheets of the specified sample to collect signatures of voters supporting the party’s participation in the elections.
The Kashkadarya Regional Council of UzLiDeP has started this process in all primary organizations of the region: at the place of work, service, study, and residence of citizens, in areas where election campaigning and signature collection are not prohibited by law.
A political party can collect a maximum of eight percent of signatures from forty thousand voters in one administrative-territorial structure (the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, the city of Tashkent).
Signature collection was also carried out in Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex LLC. Taking an active part in this process, the complex employees noted the effectiveness of the party’s practical activities in developing entrepreneurship, providing comprehensive support to youth and women, improving legislation, and solving problems raised in open dialogues with voters.
