Shusha hosted the 8th meeting of the Ministers of Education of the Organization of Turkic States.
In his opening speech, the Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, Emin Amrullayev, noted the impressive success achieved by the Organization of Turkic States in a short period of time. He emphasized that the basis of sustainable and healthy cooperation between Turkic-speaking countries is youth and that the exchange of students within the Organization creates opportunities for them to become familiar with each other’s common history, culture, and traditions.

The Minister stated that relations between the member states of the Organization and within the framework of bilateral relations are developing steadily and successfully. He cited the construction of schools with the support of fraternal countries, the creation of the Türkiye – Azerbaijan University, and the holding of various events with the participation of students, teachers, and higher education institutions as examples.
Other speakers also emphasized the importance of developing cooperation in science and education within the Organization of Turkic States.
Following the meeting, issues on the agenda were discussed.
