398 girls and boys have vied for victory at the Kashkadarya regional round of the national festival of children’s art creativity “Kamalak Yulduzlari” (Stars of Rainbow).

398 girls and boys have vied for victory at the Kashkadarya regional round of the national festival of children’s art creativity “Kamalak Yulduzlari” (Stars of Rainbow).

The event was organized jointly by the Kashkadarya regional council of the Kamolot Youth Social Movement, the regional departments for public education, for culture and sports. It was noted at the occasion that special significance is attached under the leadership of the President of our country to nurturing the youth as comprehensively advanced individuals, to creating necessary conditions for revealing and disclosing talents and abilities of young men and women.

Participants of the festival, held in accordance with the national program “Year of the Healthy Child” and the 6 February 2014 resolution of the head of our state on additional measures dedicated to implement the youth policy in Uzbekistan, demonstrated mastery in national music instruments, fine and applied arts, vocals, dance and literature.

16 participants and two bands booked tickets to the national round of the festival. Among the winners of the regional round is the fifth-grader of the school no.21 in the city of Karshi Guloyim Achilova.

“I am glad that I have won the dance contest,” Guloyim said. “I will try to be victorious also at the finals of the festival.”

The festival program also included an exhibition of creative works of young talents and a gala concert.
