Shingo Ueno: A new human capital development center launched in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is steadily implementing large-scale projects in energy, healthcare, and human capital development. In particular, the expansion of renewable energy has been identified as a strategic priority to meet the country’s growing energy demand, creating broad opportunities for long-term cooperation with international partners.
According to Shingo Ueno, President of Sumitomo Corporation, several renewable energy projects are currently being actively implemented in Uzbekistan. He also noted that discussions are underway with the Ministry of Health regarding the supply of emergency medical vehicles. To support the implementation of this initiative, negotiations are underway with Japan’s financial institution, JBIC.
