The Presidential Candidate from the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with voters from Tashkent region.

The proxy of the candidate in Tashkent region, Sayyora Fayziyeva opened the meeting. She noted the results achieved under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the comprehensive development of Tashkent region, improving the entrepreneurial and business environment, and improving the quality of life of people.

The candidate for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented his Election Program.

The program covers five strategic goals.

The first goal is to create decent conditions for each person to realize their potential. The second goal is to ensure sustainable economic growth so people are satisfied with life. The third goal is to save water resources and protect the environment. The fourth goal is to provide the rule of law and the organization of public administration to serve the people. The fifth goal is New Uzbekistan – a safe and peaceful state.

The candidate spoke about his plans for Tashkent region in these areas. In general, a separate seven-year program for the socio-economic development of this region has been adopted, for which the necessary funds will be directed.

In the Election Program, special attention is paid to solving the problems of kindergartens and schools in the region.

“In the next seven years, the problem of kindergartens and schools will be completely resolved in all mahallas of Tashkent region”, the candidate says. – More than 1,000 kindergartens for 60,000 places will be created for this. By increasing the capacity of existing schools and building new ones, 100 thousand student places will be created, and there will be no classes with more than 35 children (currently, the number of such courses is 3 thousand).

According to the candidate, gyms will be built for 188 regional schools. By 2030, 4,000 kilometers of internal roads and more than 100 bridges will be built and repaired in more than 350 mahallas of the region.

“5,100 kilometers of power lines and 1,400 transformers will be updated”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said. – Due to this, the power supply of 250 thousand households will be improved. In addition, 5,200 kilometers of drinking water supply networks and 750 kilometers of sewer networks will be built and repaired. As a result, 100,000 households will be provided with drinking water through centralized networks for the first time, and the water supply of 800,000 residents will be improved.

It was noted that an electric train would be launched connecting Bekabad, Khodjikent, and Angren with the capital.

“4 electric trains run in Tashkent region, which were brought 30-40 years ago”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said. – Electric trains will be completely renovated to create convenience for people and improve the quality of services provided to them. In particular, from 2024, 10 electric trains will connect Bekabad, Khodjikent, and Angren with the capital.

At the same time, work will be consistently continued to improve the region’s power supply further.

“To provide industrial enterprises with sustainable energy in Qibray, Yuqorichirchiq and Buka districts, with the participation of investors from Saudi Arabia and China, three solar stations with a total capacity of 1.7 thousand megawatts will be launched at the expense of $1.5 billion”, the candidate said. – At the same time, two coal-fired power units with a capacity of 600 MW and a hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 900 MW will be built at the Angren TPP.

The candidate also spoke about his plans to develop the construction industry in Uzbekistan.

“We have set big goals for constructing a million houses in our country over the next seven years”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said. – The number of “Yangi O’zbekiston” neighborhoods will be increased to 100, and other houses for 200 thousand families will be built. In addition, 700,000 private houses will be built.

At the meeting, it was announced that social houses for 40,000 apartments would be built in Tashkent region in the next seven years.

“As is known, we are starting the construction of the first large facility under the “My First Home” program in Tashkent region”, the candidate says. – Why did we choose Tashkent region? The reason is that 24 thousand families in the region need housing. In addition, 25,000 new families are created annually. Within the framework of this program, social houses for 40,000 apartments will be built in the next seven years. Starting next year, similar social houses for at least 100,000 families will be built in other regions.

It was emphasized that renovation programs would be adopted with the people’s consent.

“Half of the nearly 5,000 apartment buildings in Tashkent region were built 50 years ago”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said. “Therefore, by the end of the year, the current state of these houses, including their seismic resistance, will be fully investigated. We will work on updating the neighborhoods that have served their useful life only with the population’s consent. Of course, this is a serious matter, so the renovation must have a solid legal basis. For this, renovation programs are accepted only with our people's consent and considering the general public's opinion.

It was noted that by 2025 the development of master plans for 25 cities will be fully completed, and by 2030 – for all settlements.

“The process for developing master plans will be open and transparent for residents and businesses”, the candidate said. – A separate portal will be launched, and initiatives and proposals will be considered. In the next seven years, two trillion UZS will be allocated for these purposes.

At the meeting, representatives of the party and guests noted that they would support the candidacy of Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the elections for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and urged others to do the same.
