The “One Belt, One Road” international forum has continued its work today in Beijing.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke at the forum.

The Head of our state talked about the significance of this forum, its further improvement and development.

Since ancient times our country has been one of the centres of the world civilisation. During the years of independence, the economic and social potential of our country has increased in colossal rates. The economic growth of Uzbekistan reveals availability of a solid macroeconomic base. Wide conditions for active and free activity of foreign investors have been created. The proposed preferences and privileges boost the interest of foreign businessmen in partnership with Uzbekistan.

In the past the Great Silk Road had a very important significance in relations between different regions.

The Great Silk Road not only facilitated development of commercial ties, but also exchange of information among states and regions, dissemination of new types of goods and agricultures, mutual enrichment of the cultures of various nations, and thus acted as an important means of inter-civilizational dialogue.

The “One Belt, One Road” project, designed to revive this road, plays an important role in further enhancing economic cooperation, creating even more favourable conditions for trade and investment, developing transport and communications infrastructure, potential of partnership in agriculture, tourism, education and culture. It envisages effective use of opportunities of developed countries, provision of support by them to the developing countries with a growing economy.

– Heads of state and government of many countries took part in the forum. This facilitates wide promotion of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative, which has a global significance, - says foreign minister of Thailand Don Pramudwinai. – It is important that Uzbekistan has also joined this initiative. The authority of your country is growing in the international arena. Leading firms and companies of many countries are investing in the economy of Uzbekistan; the country is implementing many prospective projects with developed countries and leading international organizations.

A sustainably developing economy, a convenient geographical location, modern transport communications, a deeply thought-out investment strategy of Uzbekistan increases the interest of foreign business circles to cooperation with your country.

Today the forum will conclude its work.
