The meeting on the priority tasks of ensuring economic growth in regions and industries in the first half of the year, chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, continues.
At the event, instructions were given on the production of products in other industries, in addition to the fuel and energy sector, for 95 trillion UZS, ensuring production growth by the end of the first half of the year by 7 percent.
The President noted that the transformation process at the enterprises Hududgaztaminot, Uzdonmakhsulot, Agroservice, Agroleasing is going slowly.
Deputy Prime Ministers S. Umurzakov and J. Kuchkarov have been tasked to ensure the implementation of investments for 75 trillion UZS during the second quarter. Of these, foreign direct investment should amount to $1.7 billion, funds from international financial organizations - $1.1 billion, budget funds – 8 trillion UZS, bank loans – 13 trillion UZS.
The need was noted for establishing control over the completion of 43 large sectoral and 2.5 thousand territorial projects, the launch of which is scheduled for July 1. By July 1, Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association together with the hokimiyats of Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Navoi, Tashkent regions should launch 6 large textile enterprises with a total value of $220 million in Asaka, Gijduvan, Kagan, Karshi, Khatirchi, Kibray districts and the city of Chirchik, as a result of which 2.5 thousand people will be employed permanently.
Hokims of the regions were instructed to work on projects that are delayed in launching at the appointed time.
M. Kamolov, B. Zaripov, E. Soliyev, E. Turdimov, T. Bobolov, H. Bozorov, D. Khidoyatov were instructed to launch by July 1 at least 10 projects in 15 districts with a passive organization of new industrial enterprises and launching them before the end of the year.
