The official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkmenistan was fruitful. The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov saw off the President of Uzbekistan at the Ashgabat Airport.

A Declaration on Deepening the Strategic Partnership and more than 10 documents on various areas of cooperation between the two countries were signed.

Important events of the visit were the awarding of the title of Honorary Professor of the Turkmen State University to the President of Uzbekistan, the opening of the Tashkent Park in the city of Ashgabat, as well as the launch of the construction of the Khorezm – Dashoguz Border Trade Zone.

The President of Uzbekistan has returned to Tashkent.
