Shashmaqom concert takes place in Europe
Talented performer of Uzbek traditional and folk music, Nihol Prize winner Gulzoda Khudoynazarova, accompanied by musical performers Bekzod Safarov and Farrukh Vakhidov, gave a concert in several European countries from February 19 to March 11.
The concert program of the creative tour consisted of such vocal directions as Shashmaqom and Katta Ashula, which are included in the Representative List of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Concerts of Uzbek masters took place at the Pierre Boulez Concert Hall in Berlin, Molière Theatre in Brussels, St. Gallen Theater in Switzerland, and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg.

At the University of Tours of France and the St. Gallen Theater in Switzerland, the music expert Husniddin Ato informed about Uzbekistan’s musical heritage and culture, the direction of Shashmaqom, and national musical instruments.
The tour was organized by OXUS Culture and its foreign partners in Europe.
